Requirements

  • Microservice and web environment debugging and problem-solving skills
  • Hands-on experience in the installation, configuration, automation, and monitoring of various Cloud Services
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps/Automation tools e.g. AWS Cloud Formation, Ansible, Jenkins, Git
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Experience in application virtualization – Kubernetes, Docker
  • Experience with IP networking, VPNs, DNS, load balancing and firewalling concepts – (focus on AWS Networking)

Responsibilities

  • Set monitoring and alerting of multiple environments
  • Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation
  • Oversee production platform deployments
  • Establish cooperation rules for SRE, Development and DevOps teams
  • Build highly available infrastructure for the SaaS platform
  • Identify new tools and processes to improve the cloud platform and automate processes (e.g. create automation for log file management)
  • Program applications to be optimized to work within constructs of an AWS environment
  • Set up or manage backups and patching across the environments
  • Serve as a technical point of contact on customer engagements
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to define and implement solutions with external and internal cloud services features such as auto-scaling, elastic load balancing, instance right-sizing, disaster recovery strategies, and tiered storage
