Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Summary

The job is for a Site Reliability Engineer at Nillion, a secure computation network that focuses on high-value data storage using decentralized technology and privacy-enhancing technologies. The role involves ensuring reliability, availability, and performance of the Distributed Storage Infrastructure for High Value Data, identifying and addressing issues impacting reliability and performance, creating innovative tools to address operational challenges, and monitoring the health of the infrastructure.

Requirements

• Solid foundation with Rust
• Background in monitoring & supporting large scale production systems
• Deep understanding and prior experience in systems and network engineering
• Experience with large-scaled distributed environments running on AWS
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration
• Experience in systems monitoring
• CI/CD design & maintenance experience
• Deep knowledge of modern web applications infrastructures and designing them to be scalable and reliable

Responsibilities

• Help to investigate performance issues thoroughly, and work to resolve long-term questions relating to latency and reliability
• Create and grow innovative, high-quality tools to address real operational challenges within our systems and processes
• Monitor the health of the infrastructure, own uptime SLAs, and contribute to improvements around the availability and reliability of our environments

Preferred Qualifications

Successful candidates will be required to be on call outside of EU hours
