Requirements

  • Possess strong knowledge of AWS
  • Have in-depth understanding of Linux internals
  • Think broadly about technology, encompassing security, database architecture, and AI
  • Be powerfully motivated; proactively seek improvements; prefer self-directed task management; have experience with Agile development practices (Scrum or Kanban)
  • Be powerfully lazy; prioritize automation; possess a strong understanding of testing and refactoring; value rapid iteration and bug-fixing
  • Be powerfully kind; work collaboratively; lead with empathy
  • Have 5-7 years of experience managing AWS resources in a professional setting
  • Have 5-7 years of experience implementing DevOps practices in a small-to-medium business
  • Have 1-3 years of experience managing standalone Linux platforms
  • Have 1-3 years of experience managing machine learning pipelines

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the security of personal data; implement network segmentation, cross-account/region/VPC network transit, client VPNs, and zero-trust authorization; manage identity services with OAuth and SAML; encrypt data in transit and at rest
  • Maintain and improve the technology infrastructure; manage AWS resources using Terraform; maintain Kubernetes clusters; keep the monitoring stack (Prometheus, Loki, Grafana, OpsGenie) active
  • Enhance the developer experience; support various deployment methods (FluxCD, Helm, Makefiles); ensure developer productivity and low cycle times
  • Manage data securely; catalog data; utilize data for machine learning and analytics; delete data when necessary
