You will play a crucial role in maintaining and developing our technology platform, encompassing web applications, on-site hardware, and machine learning pipelines. This position requires expertise in AWS, Linux, and DevOps practices, with a focus on security, stability, developer experience, and data management. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of AWS services, Linux internals, and a broad technological perspective. Requirements
- Possess strong knowledge of AWS services
- Have in-depth understanding of Linux internals
- Demonstrate a broad understanding of technology, encompassing security, database architecture, and AI vision
- Be highly motivated, proactive in identifying areas for improvement, and comfortable with Agile development practices (Scrum or Kanban)
- Be highly focused on automation to eliminate toil
- Be empathetic and collaborative, working effectively as part of a team
- Have 5-7 years of experience managing AWS resources in a professional setting
- Have 5-7 years of experience implementing DevOps practices in a small-to-medium business
- Have 1-3 years of experience managing standalone Linux platforms
- Have 1-3 years of experience managing machine learning pipelines
Responsibilities
- Ensure the security of personal data; implement network segmentation, cross-account/region/VPC network transit, client VPNs, zero-trust authorization, OAuth, SAML, and data encryption
- Maintain the technology infrastructure; manage AWS resources using Terraform, Kubernetes clusters, Prometheus, Loki, Grafana, and OpsGenie
- Improve the developer experience; support various deployment methods (FluxCD, Helm), firmware development, and ensure developer productivity
- Manage data; ensure secure storage, cataloging, use for machine learning and analytics, and proper deletion of data
Preferred Qualifications
- Have opinions on the best choices between managed services and DIY solutions in AWS, considering cost and effort
- Stay updated on AWS news and announcements
