Senior Software Engineer 1

Summary

Join Modernizing Medicine (ModMed) as a Senior Software Engineer in their Identity and Access Management (IAM) team! You will architect, design, and implement secure and scalable identity solutions. Collaborate with other engineers and cross-functional teams to integrate identity services across products. This role requires expertise in OAuth, SAML, Keycloak, Java, Spring Boot, and SQL. Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred. Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 6+ years of industry experience with a focus on identity and access management
• Expertise in OAuth, SAML, and other authentication and authorization protocols
• Hands-on experience with Keycloak or similar IAM platforms
• Strong Java / Spring Boot / SQL experience
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Familiarity with OWASP, NIST standards and frameworks

Responsibilities

• Design & build secure, scalable IAM solutions using OAuth, SAML & industry standards
• Implement, customize & optimize Keycloak for peak performance & security
• Collaborate with other engineering teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Champion IAM best practices, and drive adoption across the organization
• Continuously learn & evaluate emerging trends & technologies in the IAM space

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS (preferred), Azure, or GCP
• Certifications in identity and access management (e.g., CIAM, CISA, CISSP) are a plus
