Summary

Join MO, a company dedicated to improving government services through human-centered design, as a Senior Software Engineer. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team to design and develop innovative solutions for the VA: Health and Benefits mobile app. This role involves participating in the entire product lifecycle, from proof of concept to execution, bridging the gap between customers and interdisciplinary teams. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in an agile software development environment, with proficiency in React-Native
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain scalable design system, with a strong understanding of accessibility, UI/UX best practices, and design patterns
  • Ability to help prioritize, define, and architect work to ensure high quality while meeting our deadline goals
  • Experience working with product and design teams to understand customer requirements and use cases that inform the solution design
  • Comfort working in an agile, iterative, sprint based environment
  • Experience with accessibility, privacy, security, access management, and writing software that handles PII
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and partners to define, design, and ship new systems and features
  • Participate in technical roadmap and architecture planning
  • Work with other engineers and set standards for clean, maintainable, and efficient code
  • Work with designers to review solutions for technical feasibility and accessibility
  • Participate in design and code reviews to ensure the quality of the codebase
  • Troubleshoot and debug complex software issues
