Senior Software Engineer

Summary

Join BigCommerce's B2B team as a Senior Software Engineer and contribute to a strategic initiative enhancing B2B functionality for merchants globally. You will collaborate with various teams to build a robust e-commerce platform. This role requires at least 4 years of experience in product development, a Bachelor's degree in a related field, and a strong understanding of modern programming principles. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential. The position offers a competitive compensation package including base salary, superannuation, and stock equity. Requirements

• Have at least 4 years of experience building amazing products
• Possess a Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, MIS or related equivalent experience
• Have a solid understanding of modern programming and design principles
• Write tested, maintainable code that you are proud of and be committed to keeping code quality high
• Be passionate and knowledgeable on modern technologies and tools, without being biased toward a specific technology
• Be an excellent communicator
• Lead by example
• Love to teach as well as to learn
• Be located in Australia

Responsibilities

• Work closely with other engineering teams, product owners, designers, business representatives and external partners to build a robust e-commerce platform that enables our customers to grow their businesses and our technology partners to build integrations and enhancements on top of our APIs
• Following your introductory period, and after having the needed training, you will be part of the on-call rotation for your team
