Senior Software Engineer

Summary

You will be working with a talented team of engineers to build full-stack web applications, distributed services, and data pipelines for the digital advertising industry. The role involves designing and developing high-quality backend services, collaborating with a diverse team, actively participating in feature planning, ensuring code quality through testing, and overseeing the entire feature lifecycle. You will need to be a strong problem-solver and contribute to continuous improvement of the software delivery process. The position offers flexible working options and is available for 100% remote work if you are located in LATAM.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Strong experience in Python
• Knowledge of Node.js development
• At least 8 years of software development experience
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL databases, including optimization and indexing
• Understanding of Airflow DAGs , event-driven architectures, and message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes , and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Knowledge of HTTP and WebSocket protocols
• Familiarity with version control tools like GitLab or GitHub
• You will need excellent written and verbal English for clear and effective communication with the team
• In order to thrive in this position, you must have at least 8+ years of experience in similar roles

Responsibilities

• Design and Development: Architect and implement high-quality distributed backend services that meet user needs and performance standards
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively within a diverse team of full-stack developers, software engineers, DevOps specialists, quality assurance professionals, and product managers to drive feature delivery
• Feature Planning: Actively participate in the planning, design, and refinement of features, bringing innovative ideas and collaborative designs to the table
• Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop new features while writing comprehensive test cases to ensure code quality and reliability
• Continuous Improvement: Play an active role in enhancing our software delivery process by identifying inefficiencies and implementing solutions that add value and reduce waste
• End-to-End Ownership: Oversee the entire feature lifecycle, from initial design to deployment in customer-facing environments, ensuring seamless integration and user satisfaction
• Problem Solving: Demonstrate a strong ability to troubleshoot complex challenges and provide effective solutions that enhance user experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with serverless architectures and real-time data processing
• Knowledge of GraphQL and front-end frameworks like React
