Senior Software Engineer

Summary

Join Censys as a Senior Backend Software Engineer and contribute to the development and maintenance of core services infrastructure. You will build and extend services, expand authentication and analytics capabilities, and work with a team to deliver robust software solutions. This role requires experience with Golang, distributed systems, database design, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP). The position is remote within the United States, with optional work from various office locations. Requirements

• Experience writing backend services in Golang
• Understanding of distributed systems and the challenges that come with them
• General knowledge of database design and common access patterns
• Experience working with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP)
• Strong collaborative and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Build and extend services to provide new core functionality to the platform
• Expand our authentication, authorization, and analytics capabilities
• Build, test, deploy, and monitor a distributed set of services
• Work with the product team, designers, and other engineering teams
• Expand the Censys public API to reflect growing capabilities on the platform

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building services within GCP
• Experience using Kubernetes and Docker
• Experience with SSO, SAML, and/or OIDC
