Senior Software Engineer

Summary

Join Meddbase, a Cority Company, as a Senior Software Engineer and contribute to our SaaS healthcare web application. We're a team of 20+ developers working collaboratively in a remote environment. This role requires significant C# and web development experience, with a focus on end-to-end feature responsibility and cross-functional communication. You'll take ownership of code, mentor junior developers, and help improve processes. We value a functional approach to C# and encourage knowledge sharing. Career progression is supported, with opportunities for advancement. Ideally, you'll have a degree, but experience and passion are key. UK residency and the right to work in the UK are required.

Requirements

• Significant experience in C# and evidence of a varied career in software development
• Web application development experience
• A willingness to use the functional paradigm rather than OOP
• Be a UK resident and have the right to work in the UK
• Be comfortable undertaking security vetting process

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end responsibility for producing a feature
• Communicate effectively across functions (Product, QA, SRE etc)
• Take ownership of areas of the code base
• Mentor junior developers
• Help improve our processes
• Learn functional approach to C# code
• Work under your own initiative
• Share expertise with the rest of the team
• Run book clubs and presentations
• Undertake information security training on an annual basis
• Maintain awareness of and follow company policies on secure information handling

• SQL Server / any relational databases
• TypeScript / modern UI frameworks
