Summary

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in software development
  • Experience with design/architecting large-scale distributed systems preferably using AWS technologies
  • Excellent knowledge of modern software engineering practices
  • Proficiency in Python, Typescript, Javascript (NodeJS), Java (and any other language you may want to mention, the more you are familiar with the better)
  • Experience with building/maintaining/operating distributed systems
  • Exposure to multiple programming paradigms (just OO is fine, FP even better)
  • Experience building and maintaining back-end application infrastructures
  • Experience with Git or other distributed version control systems
  • Familiarity with AWS or similar cloud computing platforms

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, deploy, and operate the microservices that power Evisort’s platform
  • Incorporate the results of data scientists' research into our SAAS product
  • Write high-quality distributed system software
  • Work closely with architects and technical product managers to translate overall system architecture and product requirements into well-designed and implemented software components
  • Leverage AWS managed services to ensure the stability and scalability of our rapidly growing product
  • Work with a team in a collaborative environment to build a high-value, enterprise-grade SAAS product
  • Promote the use of observability across our platform
  • Take ownership of the implementation of individual software components, with high emphasis on quality and sound software engineering practices
  • Participate in software design reviews, conduct peer code reviews, and provide input and feedback to other members of the development team
