Senior Software Engineer

Summary

The Senior Software Developer role is a remote or hybrid position in São Paulo, Brazil, working for Jeeves, a global financial operating system provider. The employee will design, develop, and maintain server-side applications using Node.js, collaborate with cross-functional teams, optimize applications for performance and scalability, implement security measures, mentor junior developers, and stay updated with industry trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in software development with a focus on Node.js
• Strong proficiency with JavaScript and TypeScript
• Experience with RESTful API design and development
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular)
• Knowledge of database systems (SQL and NoSQL) and data modeling
• Experience with version control systems, such as Git
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
