Summary

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer, with a strong track record of technical leadership and impactful contributions
  • Advanced, proven expertise in our frontend stack: Javascript/TypeScript, React, GraphQL, NextJS, and Remix
  • Experience in mobile app development using React Native
  • Experience implementing advanced animations in CSS
  • Experience with backend development (Go, Ruby, Postgres)
  • Experience running A/B tests with experimentation platforms (Amplitude Experiment, Optimizely, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership in project execution, code quality, architectural discussions, and team culture
  • Lead design discussions and drive architectural decisions, ensuring alignment with best practices and company standards
  • Conduct and lead time-critical resolutions of production issues and navigate the team through project pivots
  • Solve complex technical challenges independently and drive some cross-team initiatives
  • Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers within the team
  • Take a leadership role with stakeholders, translating business goals into technical solutions, facilitating discussions, and identifying gaps

Preferred Qualifications

  • Product Sense: Ability to make data-driven product decisions, working with Product and various stakeholders to build products that start and end with the customer
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead projects, mentor junior engineers, and take initiative in driving technical excellence
  • Architectural Skills: Deep understanding of software architecture, with the ability to evaluate architectural trade-offs and propose improvements
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to solve complex technical challenges independently
