Senior Software Engineer

Summary

Join Samsara's Trailers & Equipment teams to deliver solutions for trailer and powered equipment tracking, helping customers understand utilization and location of trailers and equipment. As a software engineer, design and develop features touching many parts of the system, tackling engineering challenges ranging from database architecture to performant ways to display insights on mobile and web.

Requirements

• Has 4+ years of relevant industry experience in software development
• Strong programming/coding fundamentals and has led technical projects
• Have built or worked on production applications

Responsibilities

• Help customers visualize the status of thousands of gateways concurrently on country-scale maps
• Collaborate with other engineers as well as product and design to build, test, and ship new features to help our customers get the most out of their equipment
• Bring a customer-focused mindset to all development, thinking through how our customers use our software and how best to meet their needs
• Help foster an inclusive, collaborative, and supportive environment within the team and the larger engineering organization
• Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices
