Summary

Join Snapsheet's Customer Vendor Management team as a Senior Software Engineer and contribute to developing impactful solutions for Vendor Integration functionality in Snapsheet Cloud. You will be actively involved in building a backend data model, APIs, and a new frontend to enhance capabilities for third-party vendors. This role also includes expanding Total Loss Service capabilities by integrating with third-party APIs and enhancing user experience. You will collaborate with other engineers, product management, and design to solve complex problems and contribute to technical design processes. The position offers the opportunity to mentor junior developers and play a key role in Snapsheet's growth as an industry leader. This is a full-time, remote position.

Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field
  • 3+ years of full-stack web development experience Designing and building APIs
  • Designing schemas and performant queries for relational databases
  • Understanding of scalability challenges and performance of server-side code
  • Prior professional experience using React
  • Eagerness to learn from and work with a collaborative team
  • Commitment to quality and passion for technology and creating cutting-edge solutions
  • Ability to manage tasks and to contribute towards multiple initiatives during a sprint

Responsibilities

  • Expand the platform’s offerings for providers
  • Break down APIs with a focus on performance and scalability
  • Continuously improve our tech stack, processes, and infrastructure
  • Partner with our other engineering teams to enhance configurability within our platform
  • Collaborate with other engineers, product management and design to identify and solve complex problems
  • Contribute to technical design processes and provide improvement suggestions and feedback
  • Play an influential role in growing Snapsheet to be the industry leader in technology
  • Work in an agile environment and participate in weekly stand ups, retrospectives, etc
  • Proactively re-evaluate scope, flag issues, and suggest alternatives
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to development team best practices

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience using Ruby on Rails
