Senior Software Engineer

Summary

Join a Series B AI healthtech startup as a Senior/Staff Fullstack Engineer and contribute to both internal and customer-facing software products. This role requires extensive experience with API design, architecture, and system design within the last 6-12 months. You will design and develop scalable web applications, collaborate with cross-functional teams, write clean and well-documented code, and lead technical discussions. Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering
• Extensive experience with JavaScript (We are a Typescript environment)
• Node/Express/Serverless experience
• SQS or Kafka experience
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and design patterns (API design, architecture & system design are vital parts of the job)
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile development environment

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable and maintainable web applications using modern software engineering principles
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
• Lead technical discussions with stakeholders and provide guidance to junior developers
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks in web applications and implement solutions to improve scalability
• Architect and design complex systems
