Senior Software Engineer

Summary

Join SDS as a Senior Software Engineer to support the Defense Finance and Accounting Services (DFAS) in a remote position. This full-time role, offering a competitive salary ($120-150K depending on experience) and benefits, involves high-level systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, and implementation of application software. You will be responsible for the research, design, and development of computer software, participating in all phases of system development, and ensuring the quality of services delivered for specific DATAAPS tasks. The position requires an active Secret Clearance and specific experience and skills in Java development, scripting, and various computer languages and tools.

Requirements

• Possess an Active Secret Clearance
• Hold a Bachelor’s Degree and 6 years of related experience OR an Associates Degree and 8 years of related experience
• Be proficient in Java development and Java Scripting
• Have experience and/or knowledge with HTML/XHTML, XML
• Have experience and/or knowledge with Capability Maturity Model (CMMI)
• Have experience and/or knowledge with Oracle DBA and Oracle PL/SQL
• Have experience and/or knowledge with AGILE Methodology
• Have experience and/or knowledge with Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and develop computer software
• Direct and participate in all phases of system development with emphasis on analysis, evaluation, integration, testing and acceptance phases
• Analyze software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
• Prepare and deliver presentations and briefings as required by the task order
• Ensure the quality of services delivered for particular DATAAPS task(s)
