Summary

Join Abnormal Security's Development Infrastructure team and play a critical role in enhancing the software development experience for our engineers. You will own the design and delivery of complex features, focusing on building and maintaining CI/CD infrastructure and tools that streamline local development and enhance security. This involves setting up local development environments, developing and maintaining CI/CD infrastructure and build tools, and providing engineers with reliable workflows. You will collaborate closely with internal engineers and actively participate in the software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate possesses 7+ years of experience as a hands-on engineer building backend systems and platforms, with 2+ years of experience in Python and a proven track record of working on similar teams. Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional experience as a hands-on engineer building backend systems and/or platforms
  • 2+ years of experience working with Python
  • Experience working on or with teams like “Engineering Effectiveness”, “Engineering Productivity”, “Development Experience”, “Development Infrastructure” or similar
  • Customer obsessed: Working with our internal engineers to determine the Engineering Effectiveness roadmap
  • Meeting with customers to understand their needs
  • Experience working on complex and delivering projects end-to-end

Responsibilities

  • Own design and delivery of complex features areas of the Development Infrastructure team offerings, and work on the roadmap for this area
  • Setup local development for engineers at Abnormal Security platform
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD infrastructure and other build tools
  • Provide Engineering with the tools and workflows to develop their changes reliably with less effort
  • Actively participate in stopping cybercrime with AI
  • Participate in planning, code reviews, standups, and other aspects of the software development life cycle

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with creating and maintaining CI/CD systems
  • Experience with Bazel
  • Experience with GO and security
