This role involves building performant frontend interfaces, contributing to team health, and mentoring other engineers. The ideal candidate possesses extensive software development experience, a deep understanding of frontend technologies, and a passion for building exceptional products.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years professional software development experience
• A proven career as a software engineer developing modern web applications with a focus on frontend architecture and user experience. Hands-on experience with React , TypeScript , and vanilla JavaScript
• Deep understanding of state management patterns and libraries (e.g., React Context), modular component design , and front end testing frameworks (e.g. React Testing Library, Cypress)
• Understanding of performance optimization, accessibility (WCAG, a11y), and responsive design best practices
• Experience building modular, flexible architectures (maximizing readability and extensibility)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience building great products (high growth, early stage tech preferred)
• Experience coaching and mentoring engineers

Responsibilities

• Build performant, reliable, and scalable frontend interfaces for merchants and their customers
• Take ownership and be creative with your solutions as you help deliver excellent products to our customers
• Contribute to the health of the team through honest and direct feedback as we iterate and improve on our processes
• Guide your team to make optimal technical and product design decisions
• Identify and execute on points of scale in order to maximize throughput and efficiency
• Mentor other engineers on best practices and growth opportunities
• Be accountable for communicating transparently and proactively, defining scope, breaking down and estimating tasks, risk and change management

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience establishing best practices in development processes
• Experience with or exposure to migration off a monolithic architecture a plus
• Passion for early stage companies and the opportunity to be responsible for owning and improving a new, fast-growing code base
