Senior Software Engineer - Frontend - Developer Portal

Summary

Join Toast as a UI/UX focused Full Stack Engineer to lead the evolution of our internal developer portal, collaborating with product teams to create a single pane of glass for developers. You will create and implement solutions and plugins to improve the portal, collaborate with various teams across Toast, and mentor other team members. This role requires high proficiency in modern Javascript technologies (React/Node, TypeScript), experience with CSS and CSS frameworks, and a passion for building user-friendly systems. Familiarity with AWS/Cloud-based design is also necessary. The ideal candidate will have experience with Backstage and MaterialUI, familiarity with Golang, and strong UX/UI design fundamentals. Requirements

• High Proficiency in modern Javascript technologies, such as React/Node and TypeScript

Responsibilities

• Take a leading role in shaping the user experience in our internal developer portal
• Be part of a team working collaboratively with Product to create a single pane of glass for developers
• Create and implement solutions, plugins that improve upon and extend the current portal offering
• Collaborate with teams across Toast, such as R&D, QA, and the developer advisory board
• Mentor and coach other team members
• Promote technical excellence

Preferred Qualifications
