Summary
Join ServiceNow's Customer Service Management (CSM) Workspace team as a Full Stack Engineer. Build high-quality, scalable, and reusable UI code using JavaScript and server-side JavaScript technologies. Collaborate with product owners to understand requirements and own the code from design to delivery. Design user-friendly software that allows for customization. Contribute to new product development and enhance existing products. Mentor colleagues and promote knowledge sharing. Focus on creating reusable UI/UX components. This role requires a ServiceNow background screening, including a credit check, criminal/misdemeanor check, and drug test. Only US citizens, US naturalized citizens, or US Permanent Residents will be considered.
Requirements
- This position requires passing a ServiceNow background screening, USFedPASS (US Federal Personnel Authorization Screening Standards). This includes a credit check, criminal/misdemeanor check and taking a drug test. Any employment is contingent upon passing the screening
- Due to Federal requirements, only US citizens, US naturalized citizens or US Permanent Residents, holding a green card, will be considered
- Strong design, collaboration and communication skills to work cross-team around the org
- Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry
- 5+ years of experience in full stack development with JavaScript or ServiceNow platform development
- Solid understanding of web security best practices and performance optimization
- Experience with any of the modern UI frameworks like Angular, React or Vue
- Passion for JavaScript, the Web as a platform, and building reusable, component-driven architectures
- Experience with data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance/scale considerations
Responsibilities
- Build high-quality, clean, scalable and reusable UI code by enforcing best practices around software engineering architecture and processes (Code Reviews, Unit testing, etc.)
- Work with the product owners to understand detailed requirements and own your code from design, implementation, test automation and delivery of high-quality product to our users
- Design software that is simple to use to allow customers to extend and customize the functionality to meet their specific needs
- Contribute to the design and implementation of new products and features while also enhancing the existing product suite
- Be a mentor for colleagues and help promote knowledge-sharing
- Focus on highly reusable and modular UI/UX frontend components and patterns to accelerate other development teams and customers
Benefits
- For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $140,700 - $239,200, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits
