Senior Software Engineer (Java)

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial Java development experience
• Proficiency in at least one cloud platform (preferably GCP)
• Strong understanding of the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Upper-Intermediate English level
• Demonstrated ability in people management and team leadership

Responsibilities

• Guide the team through the entire software development lifecycle while staying hands-on with your own coding work
• Review project documentation and requirements; assist with infrastructure setup
• Lead backend development tasks, including project skeleton setup, database design and implementation, and API design and development
• Collaborate with team members to ensure project alignment and timelines
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members
• Conduct code reviews to ensure maintenance of high code quality standards
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders for updates and feedback

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of key DevOps principles and practices, experience in basic DevOps tasks
• Experience with BigQuery and Apache Spark
• Working knowledge of ETL Pipelines
• Experience with BI framework (Looker, MS Power BI)
