Summary
Join Brillio as a Senior SQL Server DBA to design, develop, implement, maintain, upgrade, and automate solutions for managing and optimizing databases within an organization. As a consultant within the DI team, you will work with clients to define their digital strategy and execution roadmap.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a SQL Server Database Engineer or similar role, with a focus on database concepts, principles, backup, recovery, deployments, best practices, and automation
- 4+ yearsβ experience with Azure Cloud
- 4+ yearsβ experience with HADR technologies like Always On, Replication, and/or Clustering
- 3+ years of proficiency in scripting languages like Powershell, Python, etc for automation tasks
- 3+ years of experience with database automation frameworks and tools like Octopus, Teamcity, Anisble, Jenkins
- 2+ years of experience with source code management tools like GitHub and GitLab
- 2+ years of experience with CICD tools and methodology
Responsibilities
- Perform troubleshooting and resolving database-related issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Ensure high availability and optimal performance of production databases through effective automation strategies and monitoring techniques
- Conduct regular performance analysis and capacity planning to optimize database resources
- Document database process, procedures, and configuration to ensure knowledge sharing and compliance with organization standards
- Implement and maintain database automation frameworks, tools, and scrips to streamline database operations and enhance efficiency
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the database environment and propose innovative solutions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SSIS, SSRS, SSAS
- Thorough understanding of database architecture, replication, and high availability concepts
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with other database technologies such as PostgreSQL, DB2 LUW, etc
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work effectively though collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality database automation solutions
