Remote Senior Staff Engineer

Summary

Join the Global Markets engineering team at Airbnb as a product engineering leader to shape the technical and product strategy of international growth, design systems for global markets, and lead a group of talented engineers.

Requirements

• 12+ years of full-time work experience in software engineering, information technology, or related domains
• Experience with designing and building large scale production systems or features
• Technical leadership: hands on experience leading project teams, setting technical direction and strategy, prototyping to iterate ideas, and working cross functionally with Product and Data Science teams
• Strong communication and collaboration skills. Examples of working across teams and organizations on technical initiatives
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively across team boundaries and provide guidance to individual teams
• Willing to work across the full stack to address technical challenges anywhere in the system
• Experience with working in a cross-functional team that touches many of the core systems and user flows at Airbnb
• Fluent both in English and Chinese

Responsibilities

• Work with cross functional partners (product managers, legal etc) to design and deliver high-quality products
• Lead efforts to architect, prototype, build and launch solutions for international markets
• Provide critical input in team roadmap and technical direction
• Influence and collaborate with stakeholders to adopt team goals and roadmaps
• Mentor engineers both within and outside of the team
