Requirements

  • Must have Skills: CISCO data center engineer
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE) or equivalent are highly preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on Cisco data center networking
  • Expertise in Cisco Nexus series (e.g., 9000, 7000, 5000) and ACI architecture
  • Strong understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocols
  • Experience with network automation tools and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible)
  • Proficient in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds)
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality work

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement Cisco-based network solutions in data center environments
  • Configure and manage complex network topologies, including VLANs, VxLAN, BGP, OSPF, and other advanced routing and switching protocols
  • Monitor and optimize network performance, ensuring low latency, high availability, and scalability
  • Diagnose and resolve network issues, including connectivity problems, hardware/software failures, and performance bottlenecks
  • Implement and manage network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls to ensure data protection and regulatory compliance
  • Create and maintain detailed network documentation, including configurations, topologies, and standard operating procedures
  • Work closely with other IT teams, including server, storage, and application teams, to ensure seamless integration of network services
  • Stay up to date with the latest Cisco technologies and industry trends, recommending improvements and upgrades to the data center infrastructure
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans for the network infrastructure
