Summary
Join Guardant Health's People Team as a Senior Staff HRIS Analyst specializing in Workday Advanced Compensation and Performance Management. This role involves designing, configuring, and supporting Workday's compensation and performance modules to ensure accurate and compliant processes. You will collaborate with HR, Total Rewards, and Talent Management teams, translating business needs into effective system solutions. Key responsibilities include partnering on annual compensation cycles, building and maintaining compensation plans, managing compensation review events, configuring performance review processes, supporting talent management processes, leading configuration changes and deployments, troubleshooting system issues, building reports and dashboards, and identifying process efficiencies. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's degree, 4-6 years of HRIS experience with at least 3 years in Workday configuration, and deep knowledge of Workday's Advanced Compensation and Performance Management modules. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Information Systems, Business, or related field
- 4–6 years of HRIS experience, with at least 3 years in hands-on Workday configuration
- Deep knowledge of Workday Advanced Compensation and Performance Management modules
- Experience supporting annual merit/bonus cycles and performance review processes in Workday
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Partner with Total Rewards on annual compensation cycles to ensure smooth system execution and accurate payouts
- Build and maintain eligibility rules, compensation plans, and guidelines within Workday
- Manage and troubleshoot compensation review events, including mass changes and validation processes
- Configure and support Workday’s performance review processes, including goal setting, mid-year and year-end reviews
- Partner with Talent Management to update templates, workflows, and eligibility rules for performance cycles
- Identify and implement enhancements to improve the user experience and streamline Performance Reviews
- Support the configuration and maintenance of Workday Talent Management processes
- Configure the annual talent review process in Workday, including calibration templates, eligibility, and data accuracy
- Lead configuration changes, testing, and deployment for Workday Compensation, Talent & Performance modules
- Collaborate with HRIS teammates across functional areas to ensure cohesive system design and evaluate impacts on related processes and configurations to minimize the unintended effects on interconnected processes
- Partner with HRIS and IT colleagues on integrations that support compensation and performance data flows
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business processes
- Build and maintain reports and dashboards for compensation, talent, and performance data
- Provide insights to HR and business leaders to support data-driven decision making
- Identify and implement process efficiencies, leveraging Workday capabilities and best practices
- Stay current on Workday releases and evaluate new features for potential adoption
Preferred Qualifications
- Workday Pro certification in Advanced Compensation and/or Performance Management
- Experience in healthcare, biotech, or life sciences
- Advanced reporting skills, including calculated fields and complex reports
