Summary

The job description is for a 6-month contract position for a Senior Staff Officer with an active Top Secret Security Clearance in the Washington DC area, preferably a Military Officer. The role involves coordinating and facilitating events such as forums, workshops, seminars, roundtables, data exchanges, symposiums, and conferences.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the planning and implementation of events as directed
• Coordinate all aspects of events in accordance with customer specifications including assisting with selecting and negotiating event locations/sites
• Coordinate with and schedule event participants
• Work with the team to promote speaking and attendance opportunities as well as working out scheduling to afford key participants access and contribution to the event
• Develop event information papers, handouts, materials, advertisement, and after-event summaries for each event
• Identify, in conjunction with DoD oversight and input, key speakers/panelists for events
• Draft, coordinate, and send invitations (hardcopy and/or digital depending on event)
• Track RSVPs and advocate for alternate invitees if alternate choices are required/desired
• Write after event reports to summarize proceedings, assess outcomes, and share knowledge
• Manage logistical arrangements for conferences including reimbursement forms, invoices, and reports after the event has ended
