Summary

Join ServiceNow as a highly skilled engineer contributing to the reliability and performance of our world-class SaaS products. You will provide sustainable resolutions to infrastructure issues, proactively prevent repeatable problems, and drive initiatives to improve system design. Leveraging your expertise in software development, systems engineering, and networking, you will design and deploy products using containerization and cloud services. Requirements

  • Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI’s potential impact on the function or industry
  • Extensive experience in managing product operations in the cloud
  • Strong background in software development, systems engineering, and networking
  • Proficiency in Linux systems and writing code to automate repetitive tasks
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker
  • Familiarity with cloud services like AWS and VMware on AWS
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve issues remotely
  • Experience in high-availability architecture, scalability strategies, monitoring, alerting, and observability
  • Strong focus on customer service and deep technical expertise

Responsibilities

  • Provide relief and sustainable resolution to issues within our infrastructure
  • Use your experience in software development, systems engineering, and networking to proactively prevent repeatable issues
  • Drive initiatives with partner teams to improve the reliability and performance of the infrastructure through improved system design
  • Join a culture of intolerance to manual activity, resulting in a highly automated environment delivering scalable solutions
  • Design and deploy our world-class SaaS products using containerization (Kubernetes/Docker) and cloud services (AWS, VMware on AWS, etc.)
  • Drive our super-large-scale multi-tenant clusters while guaranteeing great uptime
  • Apply your software/programming expertise, combined with your in-depth understanding of system and cloud services, to continuously improve our infrastructure and products
  • Commit to a 40-hour week, mostly Monday to Friday, and meet aggressive weekly goals
