Senior Storage Engineer

Summary

Join our team as a Senior Storage Engineer specializing in Nasuni File Data Platform and enterprise storage technologies! This remote contractor position (CST or EST preferred) involves designing, implementing, and managing high-performance file storage solutions across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. You will lead Nasuni platform deployment and administration, manage edge appliances, and integrate Nasuni with cloud object storage. Responsibilities also include designing scalable storage solutions, performing capacity planning and performance tuning, and collaborating with other teams. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's degree, 5+ years of enterprise storage engineering experience (including 2+ years with Nasuni), and strong expertise in file systems, NAS protocols, and cloud platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in enterprise storage engineering, with at least 2 years focused on Nasuni
• Strong understanding of file systems, NAS protocols (SMB, NFS), and Active Directory integration
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and hybrid cloud storage models
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
• Familiarity with ITIL processes, change management, and incident response

Responsibilities

• Lead the deployment, configuration, and administration of Nasuni File Data Platform across global sites
• Manage Nasuni Edge Appliances, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and data synchronization
• Integrate Nasuni with cloud object storage (e.g., Azure Blob, AWS S3, Google Cloud Storage)
• Monitor and optimize Nasuni caching, snapshotting, and global file locking features
• Design and implement scalable storage solutions that meet business continuity, performance, and compliance requirements
• Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and lifecycle management of storage infrastructure
• Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to align storage solutions with business needs
