Senior Strapi Developer

Summary

Join our team as a Senior Strapi Developer! This is a 2-month renewable contract position, fully remote from the Philippines, working within the UK time zone. You will design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services using Strapi. Experience with Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, and various databases is essential. Collaboration with DevOps teams and a strong understanding of headless CMS architecture are key. This role requires 7+ years of backend development experience, with at least 5 years specifically in Strapi.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in backend development, with at least 5 years of Strapi experience
• Strong understanding of Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript
• Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and third-party integrations
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Strong understanding of headless CMS architecture and content management workflows
• Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms (JWT, OAuth, etc.)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend services using Strapi
• Develop APIs and customize Strapi plugins as needed
• Optimize existing code for better performance and scalability
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure seamless deployment and infrastructure optimization
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and system design
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with frontend frameworks like React, Vue.js, or Next.js
• Knowledge of serverless architectures
• Experience with performance testing and optimization
