Senior Structural Engineer

Summary

The job is for a Senior Structural Engineer in the nuclear industry with iParametrics. The role involves designing and analyzing critical structures under extreme conditions. The position is remote but requires initial training and one week of onsite work per month.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in design, estimating, specification preparation, construction document preparation, related phases of engineering, and field experience in the inspection of construction projects
• Experience in renovating/modifying existing facilities
• Familiarity with CAD applications
• Must have a working knowledge of Federal (including Department of Energy Orders), State, and Local codes and standards applicable to structural engineering design
• Department of Energy requires all people working on the project to be a US Citizen

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and coordinate structural engineering and multi-disciplined team/design projects
• Prepare and review calculations, drawings, and specifications relating to seismic and wind analyses, foundation design, structural framing analyses and design, and bracing analyses and design
• Conduct construction document reviews as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Nuclear experience is highly desired
• Professional Engineer License preferred but not required
