Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent, or similar professional experience
  • 5+ years experience in software generally, ideally in SaaS
  • 5+ years experience in C# and web-based applications
  • 3+ years as a manager of an engineering team, preferably in a SaaS environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of engineers and coordinate offshore contracting teams
  • Manage and ensure scalability of a large application platform that supports thousands of user accounts
  • Transition multiple application components from Windows and VMs to cloud native models with Linux and Kubernetes
  • Oversee continual feature development in the flagship Lease Accounting product to ensure continued market leadership
  • Produce high-quality, efficient code while actively leading by example, including code reviews and pull requests
  • Serve as a thought leader, driving innovative solutions and shaping the direction of the team
  • Address complex problems with pragmatic solutions that prevent future issues, always considering a build/buy/use approach, while ensuring the team decreases occurrences of potential issues through clear documentation and shared knowledge
  • Evolve our architecture to meet current and future needs for scaling, performance, security, and reliability, with a focus on quality and speed of delivery
  • Direct and participate in planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews
  • Instill a culture of continuous improvement whereby the team seeks to incrementally improve the observability, reliability, performance, and availability of the platform
  • Communicate across the organization to ensure your team is effective and achieves their goals
  • Work up and down the tech stack (C#, ASP.net , React, AWS, and Postgres) to implement new features and improve our systems
