Summary

Join Experian's Endpoint Security Operations team as a Systems Security Engineer! Reporting to the Systems Security Engineer Lead, you will be responsible for the innovation, development, and maintenance of endpoint security applications. You will troubleshoot security tool issues, manage endpoint vulnerabilities, analyze security events, and manage platforms like Microsoft Defender and Trellix. Collaboration with vendors, regional teams, and product SMEs is crucial for resolving complex issues. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Security, similar discipline or related work experience
  • 5+ years of information security experience in engineering
  • 3+ years administrating Windows and Linux systems
  • Experience communicating at different levels, from end-users to senior leadership- facilitating technical and non-technical conversations
  • Incident handling/incident response for infrastructure and endpoint
  • Understanding of networking concepts such as VLAN, subnets, common protocols, and routing basics
  • Comprehension of multiple security controls, capabilities and use in a corporate environment
  • Demonstrated documentation experience
  • Experience leading process improvements and identify gaps and lead to resolution

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot issues caused by security tools on both servers and workstations and fix them
  • Manage endpoint vulnerabilities and how the security software mitigates those vulnerabilities
  • Analyze security events and confirm false positives
  • Manage platforms relevant to EDR, AV, DLP and Cloud Proxy. (Microsoft Defender and Trellix)
  • Coordinate resolution between vendors, regional teams, and product SME teams, to solve complex issues
  • Develop documentation for processes, automation, and workflow
  • Attend audits in an SME role and provide audit sample documentation

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years administering security products, EDR, AV, DLP and Cloud Proxy preferable
  • Mac exposure is beneficial
  • 2+ years PowerShell or Python scripting desirable. A coding background is not necessary
  • Tanium operation experience is beneficial
  • Experience with multiple security products
  • Related Certifications (CISSP, CCSK, MCSE, RHCSA) are beneficial but NOT required if your experience shows mastery in these areas
