Senior Tax Accountant

Summary

The job is for an experienced Accountant with a Bachelor's degree and CA/CPA qualification to work in a Sydney-based firm of Chartered Accountants. The role involves compiling financial information, preparing statements, resolving discrepancies, and providing taxation advice. Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in Australian Public Practice is highly preferred, equivalent Commercial Experience may be considered
• CA/CPA qualified
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject

Responsibilities

• Compile and analyze financial information for Sole Traders, Companies, and Trusts
• Prepare financial statements, including BAS's and income tax returns
• Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
• Provide matters for review by Managers/Directors
• Agree and meet all workflow deadlines
• Complete workpaper files for review
• Check and submit taxation and other correspondence
• Research taxation matters and communicate findings
• Delegate and supervise work to Intermediates/Graduates
• Mentor Intermediates/Graduates
• Assist in preparing advisory based services to clients
