Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in federal and state income tax compliance and reporting, in a CPA firm
  • Expertise in ASC 740 tax provision preparation
  • A sharp analytical mindset with a knack for problem-solving
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to meet tight deadlines
  • Proficient in Excel

Responsibilities

  • Prepare quarterly and annual global ASC 740 tax provision models, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Lead calculations for tax implications related to ASC 718 Stock-Based Compensation, 162(m), and other tax provision components
  • Execute tax accounting control compliance under Sarbanes-Oxley
  • Collaborate with external service providers on Federal and State income tax returns, including book/tax differences, state apportionment, and disclosures
  • Oversee the accurate and timely filing of tax forms, payments, and state/local business licenses
  • Handle federal and state notices, tax audits, and inquiries from authorities
  • Reconcile general ledger tax accounts monthly and provide detailed supporting documentation
  • Conduct research and provide insightful analysis on tax implications of specific transactions
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather financial information for tax purposes
  • Take the lead on ad hoc tax projects that drive continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications

  • A degree in Finance or Accounting (B.S./B.A.)
  • CPA certification or a Master’s in Taxation
  • Experience with Big 4 firms or in a multinational corporate setting
  • Previous exposure to Netsuite
