Summary

HCRC is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Writer with a proven track record in technical documentation and strong collaboration skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The candidate should have at least 12 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with 10+ years of experience, proficiency with MS Office Suite, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience in drafting, formatting, and editing technical publications and proposals, including proficiency with the MS Office Suite
  • Experience using review tools for team feedback and updates
  • Strong multi-tasking skills and the ability to take notes during meetings
  • Proven experience working with system engineers, software engineers, and program management to translate technical information into clear, concise documentation, including user manuals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to plan and prioritize tasks effectively, both independently and in collaboration with a team
  • Independent thinker capable of delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a team/collaborative environment

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the collection, organization, preparation, editing, and revision of various documents supporting program execution reports and deliverables
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of technical professionals
  • Work closely with counterparts to author, edit, and proofread technical documents including Strategy Documents, Technical Design Packages, Implementation Plans, and other technical documentation
  • Gather requirements from users and stakeholders to prepare comprehensive user and program documentation
  • Ensure all documents adhere to program standards
  • Lead the authorship and collaborate with team members in the development of documents
  • Manage multiple documentation assignments simultaneously while working closely with technical staff

Preferred Qualifications

  • Recent experience on a system/software development program compiling, editing, and publishing CDRL documentation
  • Solid understanding of DID formats
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Proficiency with JIRA/Confluence for documentation purposes
