Senior Technical Writer

Summary

Join Mysten Labs as a Senior Technical Writer and contribute to the creation of foundational infrastructure for decentralized protocols. You will be part of the Developer Experience team, crafting content to empower developers, node operators, and partners to successfully utilize Mysten Labs' technologies. Your responsibilities will include writing, designing, and updating documentation and sample code, collaborating with various teams, researching documentation best practices, and contributing to documentation tooling and processes. The role supports public-facing developer products, Sui Move, Sui SDKs, Sui Wallet, and Enoki. Mysten Labs offers a remote-first work environment and a world-class team with significant growth potential.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience creating technical documentation for complex, deep technical topics or product suite
• Proven experience creating technical documentation, including guides, code examples, and API libraries
• Proficiency in writing structured content that uses variables and metadata to serve context-sensitive material to unique audiences
• Experience supporting product release cycles in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
• Excellent writing and grammatical skills; content is clear, succinct, and logical
• Strong organizational skills; ability to manage expectations and maintain focus
• Grit; a sustained history of hard work and perseverance
• Curiosity; a bias to constantly question, dig deeper, and learn
• Customer empathy; an ability to understand the technical and conceptual challenges of users trying to learn a new technology, combined with a passion to empower those individuals with the right documentation and training materials to self-serve and be successful

Responsibilities

• Write, design, and update documentation and sample code
• Communicate across and collaborate with the Engineering, Product, Marketing, Developer Relations, Technical Writing, and Partnership teams, taking their input to continuously enhance the documentation experience for our community of developers
• Researching documentation best practices among the tech industry and other top blockchains
• Contributing to documentation tooling and processes to support more efficient, scalable, and collaborative documentation development
