Senior Technical Writer

Summary

The Senior Technical Writer (Freelancer) will create and develop architectural documentation for Zuru Tech's BIM software. Requirements include proven experience in drafting technical documentation, a bachelor's degree, native English proficiency, knowledge of technical documentation principles, ability to translate complex concepts, excellent communication skills, and a portfolio.

Requirements

• Proven experience in drafting technical documentation for software, preferably within the BIM or civil engineering sectors
• Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, computer science, linguistics, or a related field
• Native English proficiency or advanced English skills
• In-depth knowledge of technical documentation principles, including writing styles, authoring tools, and documentation management
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex concepts into clear and understandable language for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with a strong focus on detail and accuracy

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough research on the product, processes, and internal users, and design the overall structure and layout of the documentation for our BIM software in English
• Document specific architectural or structural components of the product
• Create a structure for documenting the software for future development
• Define the language style, formality level, and overall tone to be used throughout the documentation
• Develop a comprehensive guide for writing and maintaining the documentation

Preferred Qualifications

Submission of a portfolio of documentation with the application is required for initial evaluation
