Senior UI Design Engineer

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in front-end development with a strong focus on UI/UX design implementation
• Strong proficiency in React, JavaScript (TypeScript), HTML, and CSS
• Based in PT, MT, CT, or ET time zones
• Experience working with and managing a design system, ensuring consistency in UI components and patterns
• A deep understanding of modern front-end development principles, including performance optimization and accessibility best practices
• Ability to create and implement fluid animations, transitions, and micro-interactions using CSS, GSAP, Framer Motion, WebGL, or similar libraries
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing needs and requirements
• A dedication to continuous learning and a commitment to best practices across the Frontend technology stack
• A keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of typography, spacing, and layout
• A strong team player with excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Familiarity with Figma, Sketch, or other design tools for interpreting and translating designs into functional components

Responsibilities

• Implement pixel-perfect UI components and user experiences that align with design specifications and brand guidelines
• Develop and maintain a robust design system library, ensuring consistency and scalability across all Ondo web applications
• Collaborate with designers and product managers to translate high-fidelity designs into responsive, performant, and accessible web interfaces
• Enhance UI with animations, transitions, and micro-interactions to improve usability and engagement
• Optimize front-end code for performance and accessibility, ensuring a seamless user experience across different devices and browsers
• Work closely with front-end engineers to bridge the gap between design and technical implementation
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in front-end development, design trends, and interaction design best practices
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of design excellence and technical quality

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or significant coursework in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
• Demonstrated interest in crypto — building, investing, yield farming, minting, voting, or whatever excites you in the space
