Summary

Join CD PROJEKT RED in Boston as a Senior UI Technical Artist to contribute to Project Orion, the next Cyberpunk game. This role involves collaborating with artists and programmers to build engaging UI within Unreal 5. You will create workflows, implement assets, ensure technical consistency, troubleshoot problems, and define technical standards. The position offers a hybrid/remote work option and a comprehensive benefits package.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of working experience with UI development or Technical Art in the gaming industry
  • Ability to work independently to identify and own work, deliver results
  • Proficiency in design tools like Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch, InVision, or similar
  • Intermediate C# programming skills
  • Expertise with Blueprint and Unreal 5
  • HLSL and Unity ShaderLab knowledge
  • Good understanding of graphics optimization practices
  • Ability to do layout designs with provided tools (Unreal or any other engine)
  • Knowledge of anchor/layout design for different aspect ratios
  • Understanding of different input systems
  • Excellent communication skills, friendly and approachable attitude
  • Outstanding organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with UI Artists and UI programmers, as well as developers from other disciplines, to implement UI solutions
  • Create workflows and pipelines
  • Implement and maintain UI assets in Unreal 5
  • Deliver proper technical designs and review general user experience
  • Communicate scenarios, interactions and designs to the team
  • Ensure the technical consistency and integrity of UI assets
  • Troubleshoot solutions to technical problems
  • Define and document technical standards and best practices
  • Test and debug UI content
  • Maintain the production pipeline and meet deadlines
