Senior Underwriter

Summary

The job is for a Senior Underwriter or an Underwriter on Nirvana's Fleet team. The role involves evaluating new and renewal commercial auto policies in the fleet space, working closely with business development teams, agents, and brokers, and building underwriting processes in a startup environment.

Requirements

• 6+ years of property/casualty underwriting experience in the Transportation space
• Proven track record of growing and maintaining a book of profitable transportation business
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to present to both small and large groups of customers and brokers

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and price new and renewal commercial Transportation business (10+ units)
• Work with multiple accounts simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborate with the Product and Engineering groups on emerging segments and territories as we scale

Preferred Qualifications

Open to occasional travel focused on building relationships with key agencies and customers (<10%)
