Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Sr underwriting or related roles within the insurance industry
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make sound decisions under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with diverse teams
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficient in underwriting software and Google Suite

Responsibilities

  • Handle escalated underwriting cases, analyzing complex risk scenarios and determining appropriate resolutions
  • Collaborate with underwriters and other departments to gather necessary information and facilitate informed decision-making
  • Review and assess underwriting submissions, providing expert guidance and recommendations
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to streamline the escalation process
  • Identify trends in escalated cases and provide feedback for process improvements to enhance efficiency
  • Prepare detailed reports on escalated issues, including outcomes and recommendations for future prevention
  • Stay updated on industry regulations, guidelines, and best practices to ensure compliance in all underwriting activities
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior underwriters on escalation procedures and best practices

Benefits

US national base salary range for this full-time position is $95,000 -$155,000
