Summary
The job is for a Unreal Engine artist in Pixomondo's Virtual Production team. The role involves creating photorealistic environments using Unreal Engine 4, collaborating with other artists, and developing cutting-edge techniques for real-time art. The candidate should have at least 2 years of industry experience with Unreal Engine 4, proficiency in the Unreal Blueprint system, and a strong understanding of Python API.
Requirements
- 2+ years of industry experience working with Unreal Engine 4. (VFX / Game Dev)
- Experience within an UE CG Pipeline on feature films and/or games production
- Experience using version control (Git, Perforce)
- Proficient with the Unreal Blueprint system, c++ is a bonus
- Solid lighting, shading, and layout for game engine skills
Responsibilities
- Producing photo-real environment assets intended for realtime rendering on one of our LED volume production stages
- Ensuring the quality and optimization of an environment intended on being syncβd to the led volume
- Create photoreal dynamic lighting and shading in Unreal
- Work collaboratively with the VAD and VP Supervisors alongside Virtual Production Lighting Supervisors and Unreal Technical Artists
- Align and execute the artistic vision put forth by both client and internal VFX Supervisors
- R&D cutting-edge techniques for real-time art
- Profile and optimize scenes to meet the project requirements without sacrificing visual fidelity
- Develop shaders, tools, FX, modules, and/or various assets for the internal library
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Mari, Substance Painter, Quixel Mixer, or similar texturing software is a big plus
- Experience with procedural workflows is a plus. (i.e. Houdini, Substance Designer)
