Summary
Join Devoteam's nearshore development team in Lisbon, Portugal as a Senior WordPress Developer. You will design, develop, and maintain high-quality WordPress websites and applications for international clients. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, optimize website performance and security, and troubleshoot complex issues. Implement responsive design, participate in code reviews, and stay current with industry trends. Mentor junior developers and communicate effectively with clients across time zones. This role requires 5+ years of WordPress development experience and advanced knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in WordPress development
- Advanced knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Proficiency in developing custom WordPress themes and plugins
- Strong understanding of WordPress core, including APIs and hooks
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git
- Expertise in responsive design and mobile-first development
- Familiarity with MySQL and database optimization techniques
- Knowledge of WordPress security best practices and performance optimization
- Experience with nearshore development processes and cross-cultural communication
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Portuguese is a plus
Responsibilities
