Requirements

• 5–6 years of professional experience in an editorial or journalism role
• Excellent written communication
• Demonstrated expertise with long-form SEO content, incorporating EEAT concepts
• Strong research, writing and editing skills, with an ability to convey complex information in a clear and accessible manner
• Ability to mentor a team of like-minded professionals while simultaneously performing the required duties of the senior writer position
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with remote teammates
• Self-motivated and able to work autonomously, as well as collaboratively in team and cross-functional settings
• Knowledge of AP Style and experience using internal style guides
• Exceptional organizational strategies with the ability to hone and implement production processes

Responsibilities

• Research, write and update authoritative content on energy-related topics, meeting monthly production goals
• Develop original ideas to form engaging and informative articles, guides, reviews and other forms of content that cater to the needs of audiences
• Understand and incorporate business goals into content goals
• Ensure content aligns with our brand voice, tone and style guidelines
• Guide and mentor other writers to help them further develop their voice, style and subject matter expertise
• Stay up-to-date with energy industry news and trends, and contextualize that information into actionable takeaways for consumers
• Apply SEO best practices to increase rankings and drive traffic to new and existing content
• Collaborate with internal teams to produce thoughtful, well-rounded content suited for different marketing needs
