Site Reliability Engineer

Summary

Fruition is seeking an experienced SRE contractor to optimize their CI/CD process, improve observability using Prometheus and Grafana, and help with site migrations onto their Kubernetes platform.

Requirements

• Experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines for Drupal, WordPress, Python, and Next.js applications
• Familiarity with GitLab, GitHub, Buddy Works, Kubernetes, and Rancher
• Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., shell scripting, Python, or other scripting languages)
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher)
• Knowledge of Prometheus or similar monitoring tools
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development teams to migrate existing CI/CD pipelines from gitlab to buddy.works
• Optimize our CI/CD pipelines for Drupal, WordPress, Python, and Next.js applications
• Lead the migration of CI/CD processes from GitLab CI/CD to Buddy Works
• Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Buddy Works for different project types
• Work with infrastructure team to integrate CI/CD pipelines with Kubernetes and Rancher for containerized deployments
• Provide support for CI/CD processes related to Drupal, WordPress, Python, and Next.js sites
• Refine Prometheus/Grafana for monitoring and reporting on the health and performance of our applications
• Script out mass site migrations from generic hosting providers to Fruition's Kubernetes environment
