Requirements
- Experience: 3โ4+ years of hands-on experience as an SRE, DevOps Engineer, or Systems Administrator in cloud environments
- Cloud Platforms: Strong hands-on experience with AWS and core services (Lambda, EC2, ECS, S3, API Gateway, CloudFront, WAF, OpenSearch)
- IaC: Proficient in Terraform
- CI/CD: Expertise in Jenkins for creating and maintaining pipelines
- Scripting: Solid experience with Shell and Groovy scripting; Python or PowerShell is a plus
- OS: Advanced administration skills in UNIX/Linux/BSD systems
- Networking: Solid understanding of TCP/IP, VPCs, DNS (Route 53), Security Groups, and Route Tables
- Databases: Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, and DynamoDB
- Security: Familiarity with SSL/TLS, IAM roles, and KMS
- Tools: Experience with SonarQube and Dependency Track (Nexus is a plus)
- Languages: Professional proficiency in English and Spanish
Responsibilities
- Design and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins for deployment automation
- Build packaging pipelines using tools like Maven or npm (desirable)
- Automate workflows using Shell and Groovy (required), with Python or PowerShell (desirable)
- Manage and troubleshoot UNIX/Linux or BSD systems in production environments
- Ensure robust cloud security using best practices (SSL/TLS, KMS, IAM, WAF)
- Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues
- Maintain and scale AWS services including Lambda, CloudFront, EC2, ECS, API Gateway, S3, and OpenSearch
- Manage network configurations including TCP/IP, Route Tables, VPCs, Route 53, and Security Groups
- Administer databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, DynamoDB, and optionally Firestore
- Support Docker-based environments and manage container orchestration with AWS ECS (Kubernetes is a plus)
- Operate and support tools like SonarQube, Nexus, and Dependency Track
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Kubernetes (K8s)
- Familiarity with packaging tools like Maven or npm
- Broader programming knowledge beyond scripting
- Experience with Firestore and additional cloud platforms
- Background in high-traffic web environments
- Experience with additional monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Grafana)
- Ability to work independently and proactively
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
