Software Development Engineer

Summary

Join GoDaddy's Site Engineering team as an experienced Software Engineer. You will design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-quality engineering solutions for our customer-facing purchase experience platform. This remote position requires strong technical skills in JavaScript, Node.js, React, and AWS technologies. You will participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from design and development to testing and deployment. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of front-end development experience and a passion for building world-class systems. This is a ground-up project offering a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to GoDaddy's commerce platform.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a software engineering role building front-end solutions
• Strong experience in JavaScript, Node.js, React, Redux, Next.js, and Webpack
• Experience developing and designing RESTful APIs
• Hands-on experience with AWS technologies and cloud computing services
• Familiarity with testing frameworks like Cypress
• Experience with CI/CD workflows, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, and other DevOps tools
• Familiarity with application performance monitoring tools like ElasticAPM
• Strong experience with version control software (Git preferred)
• Experience working in agile teams and deploying code using Git-based workflows and CI/CD technologies

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain secure, highly available, fault-tolerant, and globally performant code deployed on AWS cloud
• Participate in implementing, testing, and maintaining client and server-side platforms
• Write efficient, maintainable code following best practices and ensure code quality through extensive unit and integration testing
• Investigate and resolve production issues, ensuring your team's DevOps on-call responsibilities
• Contribute to technical documentation, code reviews, and mentoring fellow engineers
• Stay up-to-date with the latest front-end technologies and browser nuances and guide other developers

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience
