Summary
Join Collibra's Test Engineering team as an SDET and play a crucial role in testing activities within a Scrum Team. You will develop and share testing knowledge, assist developers in enhancing their testing skills, and experiment with various testing tools. You will support a shift-left testing approach, help define and maintain test data and frameworks, and collaborate with engineers and product managers. The role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in test automation and proficiency in Java/TypeScript and various testing tools. Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Test Automation
- Experience in Java and/or TypeScript, along with hands-on experience with automated testing tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, JMeter, Rest Assured, etc.)
- Experience with GitHub Actions, DevOps, Gradle, Jenkins, Docker, K8s and Helm chart
- A critical mindset to discern what to automate and what not to, strategically sampling critical tests with a focus on balancing risk, cost, and value
- Good communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues
- The ability to identify flaws in the testing process, toolset, and infrastructure, and to propose and drive necessary improvements
- A bachelorβs degree or equivalent related working experience is required
- You must have work authorization to work in Poland
Responsibilities
- Review requirement specifications and user stories to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Design, develop, and execute automation scripts and test automation frameworks using tools such as Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Rest Assured, JMeter, etc
- Integrate automation scripts into continuous integration processes using tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions, and advocate for continuous testing practices
- Identify, document, and track issues to ensure timely resolution
- Collaborate with Software/Test Engineers and Product Managers across the organization to understand the context and drive automation and testing to improve product quality
- Participate in exploratory testing and test design sessions to enhance overall product quality
- Assist and support peers and Scrum team members to expand their capabilities and improve testing knowledge
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP Testing and AI Testing experience is a plus
- Experienced in building test automation frameworks and working in a continuous delivery/continuous testing environment
- Familiar with building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Experienced in working within an Agile/Scrum development process
- Able to identify testing and quality challenges and create innovative solutions to solve complex problems
- A person with strong communication skills who enjoys collaborating with co-workers
- Able to combine automation skills with manual testing (exploratory)
- Capable of thinking independently with curiosity, criticism, and keen attention to detail
- Well-organized and accustomed to working in an innovative environment
- You are keen to explore how you can utilize AI in testing and test automation
