Software Engineer - All Levels

Join GlossGenius as a Software Engineer and play a key role in developing and maintaining our large-scale web applications that support over 90,000 small businesses. You will work on high-impact initiatives, building new AI features, developing microservice-based infrastructure, and creating tools to improve internal team efficiency. This hybrid role offers flexibility with in-office days in NYC or remote options from the San Francisco Bay Area or Greater Toronto Area. You will contribute to core experiences like friction-free payments and tools to help customers grow their businesses. Requirements

• 2+ years of professional experience in software development
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• A strong desire to move fast and have a significant impact
• An entrepreneurial mindset, eager to take ownership and contribute new ideas to solve challenging problems
• Ability to analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system resources
• Demonstrates strong collaboration skills and team spirit

Responsibilities

• Develop, release, and run large-scale web applications that empower beauty and wellness businesses to operate and grow
• Build new AI features for our customers
• Develop and define our microservice-based infrastructure
• Build tools and solutions that enable internal teams to work faster, more effectively, with more confidence, and improve the value they can provide our users (Business Scalability team)
• Work on core experiences such as making payments friction-free for clients and customers, building tools to help customers earn more per hour, or enabling businesses to effortlessly grow and manage their teams
• Focus on front-end development, crafting intuitive and engaging user experiences for our web and mobile applications
• Improve performance, reliability, scalability, and security for our backend systems
