Requirements
- Experience: 2β4 years of experience in data engineering, software development, or a related field (internship experience is acceptable)
- Programming Skills: Basic proficiency in Python and familiarity with Linux Bash scripting
- Data Processing: Understanding of SQL and working with structured data storage solutions
- Problem-Solving: A keen interest in debugging and troubleshooting technical issues
Responsibilities
- Assist in building and maintaining ETL/data pipelines using Python for processing large-scale datasets
- Support the orchestration of data workflows under the guidance of senior team members
- Collaborate in configuring and maintaining AWS services like EC2, S3, EMR and RDS
- Support data storage, retrieval workflows, and ensure the reliability of cloud infrastructure
- Help in maintaining and troubleshooting legacy systems
- Participate in migration initiatives to modern cloud-based solutions
- Work with monitoring tools to track system performance and identify potential issues
- Assist in setting up alerts and dashboards for real-time tracking
- Document data workflows and processes to improve team knowledge-sharing
- Contribute to team discussions on best practices and technical improvements
Preferred Qualifications
- Frameworks: Exposure to tools like Luigi or similar orchestration frameworks is a plus
- Cloud Services: Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, S3, EMR and RDS is advantageous
- Learning Mindset: Willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and methodologies
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate with stakeholders
- Detail-Oriented: Attention to detail in coding, documentation, and process execution
- Basic Analytics Knowledge: Familiarity with data analysis concepts is a plus
