Requirements

  • Experience: 2–4 years of experience in data engineering, software development, or a related field (internship experience is acceptable)
  • Programming Skills: Basic proficiency in Python and familiarity with Linux Bash scripting
  • Data Processing: Understanding of SQL and working with structured data storage solutions
  • Problem-Solving: A keen interest in debugging and troubleshooting technical issues

Responsibilities

  • Assist in building and maintaining ETL/data pipelines using Python for processing large-scale datasets
  • Support the orchestration of data workflows under the guidance of senior team members
  • Collaborate in configuring and maintaining AWS services like EC2, S3, EMR and RDS
  • Support data storage, retrieval workflows, and ensure the reliability of cloud infrastructure
  • Help in maintaining and troubleshooting legacy systems
  • Participate in migration initiatives to modern cloud-based solutions
  • Work with monitoring tools to track system performance and identify potential issues
  • Assist in setting up alerts and dashboards for real-time tracking
  • Document data workflows and processes to improve team knowledge-sharing
  • Contribute to team discussions on best practices and technical improvements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Frameworks: Exposure to tools like Luigi or similar orchestration frameworks is a plus
  • Cloud Services: Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, S3, EMR and RDS is advantageous
  • Learning Mindset: Willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and methodologies
  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate with stakeholders
  • Detail-Oriented: Attention to detail in coding, documentation, and process execution
  • Basic Analytics Knowledge: Familiarity with data analysis concepts is a plus
